5 reasons for selecting platinum resistance by friction and wear tester
The friction and wear tester is used to test the wear resistance of the components. It is measured by the temperature. The wear resistance of the ink layer (or coating) is judged by measuring the reduction of the density before and after the friction (or the decrease of the thickness of the coating).
Besides the common room temperature, the temperature control system of friction and wear testing machine can also test the friction properties of materials at high temperature. The common temperature in the market is mainly 150, 200, 250, 300, 600, 1000, respectively. What components are the temperature measured?
1. platinum resistance
This is the most widely used friction and wear tester. For example, vertical omnipotence, four ball friction and wear testing machine, ring block friction and wear tester, all of which measure the test oil temperature through the platinum resistance sensor, and realize the automatic closed loop control of the temperature through the temperature control meter. So why do many friction testing machines choose platinum resistors?
Reason:
1) the resistance temperature coefficient should be large and stable. There should be a good linear relationship between the resistance value and the temperature.
2). It is mainly used for temperature measurement in the temperature range of -200 - 500 C, and the temperature above is mainly 150 C, 200 c, 250 C, 300 C.
3) high resistivity, small heat capacity and fast reaction speed.
4) the reproducibility and manufacturability of materials are low and prices are low.
5). The chemical physical properties are stable in the range of temperature measurement.
2. thermocouple
This application is relatively small, and is mainly applied to high temperature face friction and wear testing machine. In the test, button up the high temperature furnace, connect the temperature controller power supply and thermocouple connector, open the thermostat power switch, and set the required test temperature. The main advantages of the element are:
1) the measurement range is large (-200 C ~ 1300 C, -270 ~ 2800 C) under special circumstances, and the high temperature face temperature is mainly 600 C and 1000 C.
